We're in front of Arch de Triomphe.
However we'd rather quarrel than look at the Triomphe!!

Caught Wan Teen is scolding MeeJing!!

And at last Wilson got angry, scolded everyone and WanTeen went quiet. xD

A discussion in the middle of the road. Discussion topic - Perspective view of the sketches for ENBE class... xD

But actually we're just travelling with my laptop background pictures!! xD

Dominoes.

Its started as a game but some creative people like us designers made the game into a different thing. We made it more fun. Fun to watch, play, and watch again. We could also be the people that boost the sales of dominoes or even same it from extinction. In the world today this Domino phenomena had become common and many have competed to make the longest chain of falling dominoes, using different styles and methods. Well here i would like to focus on this particular dude who got crazy in this form of entertaining art. He is none other than Lunatim Rex, Our very own "Kinetic King". He broke the world record on 1March 11th, 2010 by using 2250 domino sticks.

Here is another person who went mad into this sort of thing. Well....

As we know, tiger are on the blink of extinction. There are only between 5000 to 7400 tigers left in the wild and the number keep shrinking.Out of the 8 speies of tigers, only 5 species are existence today.Once there are gone, there are gone forever! Can u imagine how the life will be if we couldn't show our children or grandchildren the beautiful is this animal? It will be great tragendy. So,something must be done now before the tiger is truely extinction.

The biggest threat to the tiger's survivel are poachers and lost of habitat.Poachers hunt and kill the tiger of their fur, bones,or other part. Then the poachers will get the money fron the black market. The another problem is the human popurtion is move into tiger habitat. As the tiger move on the other group of tiger will be seperate from others.Human activites prevent the tiger finding each other. As a result the popuration fragmentation in tiger will occur.

The way we can prevent this beautiful animal from extinction is support the politicians who push for tougher laws on the sales of animals part overseas.Than, the govermant need to take the action to someone who break the law.So as a responsibility humanbean please do something! The most functional action is give financial support to the tiger presevation group. They are doing great thing to this animal and they need support.

Amazing Green Building: The ACROS Fukuoka

In Fukuoka City in Japan, they have an amazing building called “ACROS Fukuoka” with two very distinct sides: one side looks like a conventional office building with glass walls, but on the other side there is a huge terraced roof that merges with a park. The garden terraces, which reach up to about 60 meters above the ground, contain some 35,000 plants representing 76 species. A huge semicircular atrium and the triangular lobby provide contrast to the greenery, in this space is a symphony hall, offices and shops.

The building was constructed on the last remaining green space in the city center, so the architects, Emilio Ambasz & Associates, created a design to preserve the green space as much as possible, while still fitting in a large office building. In addition, a green roof reduces the energy consumption of a building, because it keeps the temperature inside more constant and comfortable.Green roofs also capture rainwater runoff, and support the life of insects and birds.

Mopho Tower
“Morpho Towers--Two Standing Spirals” is an installation that consists of two ferrofluid sculptures that moves synthetically to music. The two spiral towers stand on a large plate that hold ferrofluid. When the music starts, the magnetic field around the tower is strengthened. Spikes of ferrofluid are born from the bottom plate and move up, trembling and rotating around the edge of the iron spiral.
Sachiko Kodama "Morpho Towers -- Two Standing Spirals"

Norman Tie: This thing is awsome! And and in architecture of view, i can call it as "great design".

You may heard of morpho butterfly previously, but what about morpho towers?
According to the defination given by the dictionary, the word morpho is defined by a combining form meaning "form, structure".

Morpho tower, which is also called The Two Standing Spirals, conceptualized as an "organic tower" is an installation that consists of two ferrofluid sculptures that moves synthetically to music.
Ever heard of a mechanical dancer?
Seen a non-living object which is able to dance and move when the music starts WITHOUT the help of a living object.

Morpho tower is able to do that! The key point to the dancing is due to the ferrofluid, the new technique "ferrofluid sculpture". It enables the artist to create dynamic sculpture with fluid materials. When the music starts, magnetic field around the tower is strengthened. This enables the spikes of ferrofluid move up from the plate below.

At the same time, the spikes trembles and rotate around the edge of the iron spiral, morphing the body of the tower into a variety of textures ranging from soft fluid to minute moss, making it seems as if it is dancing, enabling it to tranform into several shapes and patterns such as fir tree, horn or sometimes even the Tower of Babel!

Wondering who is the absolute genius who thought of this creative art?
Sachiko Kodama is your answer!
As a Japanese female artist, Sachiko Kodama grew up surrounded by nature. She had long develop the love of art and literature, at the same time she had a strong interest in science. Therefore she is able to combine both of these elements into a brand new amazing tOwEr!!

This idea yet owns a great space for improvement. Especially in the field of entertainment with the fuse of information technology.
